If you are using the iMac 27' late 2009 or 2010 model for games you might want to upgrade your graphics card to the 6 series of the last 2011 model. I dont really know a lot about graphics cards other than my mac uses Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024mb which isnt ideal for gaming as it uses CPU as well i think :S. I play one or two games on Mac OS X but also dual boot windows 7, for the rest. Looking for assistance - I purchased an LG 4K monitor (27UD68) for my Late 2012 Mac Mini. Or some sort of dock for a graphics card. But while the Mac mini offered a playable 31.5 fps with its integrated graphics capability, it was outpaced by both the Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n (73.6) and the Intel NUC 9 Pro (100.1 fps) despite. However I've seen one or two wesbites mention external thunderbolt graphics cards. I know that the graphics card on my mac mini isnt upgradable as it's built in.
